Persipura FC is a professional football club based in Jayapura, Indonesia. The club was founded in 1963 and originally called Persatuan Sepak Bola Indonesia Jayapura (PSI Jayapura). In 1999, the club changed its name to Persipura Jayapura, and later to Persipura Papua.
The club's home ground is Mandala Stadium, which has a capacity of 30,000 spectators. Persipura FC plays in the top tier of Indonesian football, Liga 1, and has won the league four times (2009-2010, 2011-2012, 2013, and 2019).
The team's colors are yellow and black, and its mascot is a black cockatoo. Persipura FC has a strong fan base, known as The Black Pearls, who support the team both at home and away matches.
Some notable players who have played for Persipura FC include Boaz Solossa, Eduard Ivakdalam, and Yustinus Pae. The team is currently coached by Jacksen F. Tiago, who previously led Persipura FC to three league titles.
